Oh, very nice. By the time I got to the end of "Cam ate his scattered, covered, and topped; ... Teal'c ate his scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, topped and diced, which made Cam a little queasy, not that he'd mention to Teal'c," you had me nearly choking on my tuna salad in the best kind of way. (Especially considering that I was skeptical of that sentence when I started reading it -- you convinced me nicely.) Also, I know next-to-nothing about Browder or Mitchell. The only associations I have between them and North Carolina are 1) Browder's Southern, right? which doesn't mean NC necessarily, and 2) I've seen a pic of Browder in a UNC shirt. But had Mitchell attended an NC school, OF COURSE he would have gone to State. DUH. Good call!

Also: Waffle House! *happiness*

Hope the MySQL-Beast has been tamed and is now following you around around like a well-trained puppy. Good luck with your draft.

i spent a very serious half hour with a waffle house website, figuring out how everyone on the team ate their hashbrowns. i am nothing if not dedicated. (but i apologize about the choking! i didn't mean to make you inhale tuna, i promise!)

re: browder and the nc. browder's actually from charlotte; he went to high school there, though i don't know where he went to college (except that he met his wife at drama school in london). as for camshaft, we know next to nothing about his background (except for second-half spoilers i've read), and so, with some prodding from [livejournal.com profile] onthecontrary and [livejournal.com profile] eleveninches, i formulated a nice little backstory for him, including an aeronautical engineering degree from state. seems like a cameron mitchell sort of thing, you know? :)

my joy at discovering there actually ARE waffle houses in colorado springs was almost as great as cam's. *grin*

The resident reference librarian just informed me that Browder went to Furman. No apologies for the choking -- I'm old enough to know better than to eat and inhale at the same time. ;o)

FYI, should you (or the team) ever visit Arizona: there are Waffle Houses in the Phx and Tucson areas, too, which is where I first loved them.

THIS JUST IN: My roommate has never ever ever been to Waffle House! I believe we have a new mission...!!

clearly: pilgrimage to waffle house this weekend. it's a necessity. saturday for breakfast? i shall send an email to coordinate.

Browder went to Furman. (http://www.tv.com/ben-browder/person/9635/summary.html?tag=recurringrole;read_more;16) Also, Browder had a recurring role in Party of Five? You learn something (or two things) new every day!

HE WAS A LINEBACKER FOR FURMAN'S FOOTBALL TEAM. i love him even more now. oh, browder, why are you married, and why is it not to meeeeeeeee?

... i might have to netflix party of five, if it's available, just to see browder. i am so ashamed of myself.

Saturday should work for me, as long as we don't linger. Do you go to the one over on 54 in S. Durham?

And: Browder in football gear. YES. *melts*

yep, the one just past 54 and fayetteville; we can pick a time via email. when i manage to send one. because i'm certainly not being eaten alive by the methods proposal or anything. :) (and i did find my camera! it was in one of my many purses.)

browder in football PANTS. *falls over*

"browder in football PANTS." -- that was EXACTLY what I wrote in my first response, before LJ made it disappear.

You could take pics Saturday for your WH icon.

Oh Google, how I love thee - for you have now given me the lovely mental image of Ben Browder in a coconut bra as Luther Billis in South Pacific... (http://facweb.furman.edu/~rbryson/dramadept/benbrowder.html) *dies*

... i can't decide if i need to make a pilgrimage to furman to see if the archives have COPIES of those pictures, or if i need to scrub my brain out with bleach. *giggles helplessly*
