all that said: there's kind of a run of boring episodes right in the middle of s1, isn't there? the three or four episodes that lead up to "the wild bunch", which was spot on, spectacular, wonderful. but the four or so episodes before that, eh, i don't know, i sort of zoned out with them on. didn't have much to grab me. is that just me, or is that anybody else?
Here is the thing: most of the plots on due south are so boring I could die. So whether an episode works for me or not, personally, is dependant on how much squeeful character stuff there is for me to glomp onto. The ones that are concentrating on the plot instead -- whatever. This is true of all the seasons, actually, though more with the Vecchio ones.
I do not GET Mark Smithbauer. I do not get why he is interesting! I watch the Blue Line and go "Boring asshole, bah". I am missing something!
My very favorite moment of the Blue Line is Fraser going into his apartment in the brown uniform and going right to his fridge and drinking milk out of the carton. *heart*

also, why did the brown uniform go away? I LOVE THE BROWN UNIFORM. he is never hotter than when he is in the brown uniform.

THIS IS TRUE. Although jeans and the leather jacket give it a run for its money. Or his red longjohns. Yes.
