You paid 50 cents more for your copy of Miss Lonelyhearts than I did -- grad student moving giveaway. I found a really lousy play adaptation of it at a used bookstore that made me want to adapt it myself. Hmmm....

Really, Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto, and Slaughterhouse Five deserve to be on this list, too. Damn you for limiting it to five, woman!

This is a harder list for me than my desert island discs. By far. Hahahahahaha. *evil grin*

Michael loves Yoshimoto's stuff, but he's also read it in Japanese. She never really did it for me, though I love her name.
