got a couple of rolls of film done today, and i think this is my favorite of the five rolls, mostly because boomer burped and threaded just this shot on that roll wrong, but there's something gorgeous about it anyway.

walgreen's has film on sale but i have to buy groceries and gas first. all the leaves changed what feels like overnight this week, and it's sunny, just warm enough to still wear flip-flops but just cool enough to wear my favorite sweater (the second best thing the ex ever gave me, after the cat, it's huge and brown and has enormous holes in the elbows and the cuffs are unraveling, but it loves me despite all that), and cloudless. i did what's customary with my mid-month paycheck and paid bills, and then bought concert tickets for the rest of the calendar year (and several christmas gifts). i'm jealous of everyone who gets fall out boy club shows but i still have so many good shows left this year -- centro-matic/south san gabriel double bill, aa bondy, thad cockrell, hayes carll, a load of local stuff although i suppose i have to count thad as local these days too -- that i can't be too jealous. the mountain goats played a scorching, joyous show for their hometown crowd here on wednesday, and it was just what i needed to make sense of the mixed joy and frustration of the election.
how are y'all?
