Fic Recs:
+ The Properties of Voyeurism, by [livejournal.com profile] wayfairer. HP. PG-13, Harry/Draco. This is fierce and gorgeous and heartbreaking, and it tackles some of those post-OotP issues that Harry/Draco 'shippers face, and there's an undercurrent of brutality and violence that just slays me. And also it made me cry.

+ Untitled, by [livejournal.com profile] geekwriter143. lotrips, hobbits 'n' Orli, R. This is a new writer, and the voices are so sharp and the humor is so spot-on and the jokes about Jim Carrey's penis are so fantastic, how can you not read this?

+ 5 x 5 (Or, Five Things That May Very Well Have Happened To Viggo Mortensen), by [livejournal.com profile] frisbyg. lotrips, Viggo, R. I am very picky about my Viggo - there are only a few people I trust to right the Veeg, the way I want to read him, and they are few and far between, but Kate is one of them, and this - the structure, the memories, the way the whole thing builds - is exactly, spot-on, how I prefer my Viggo. 20 is my favorite, but they're all just gorgeous.

+ summer of '79, by [livejournal.com profile] _cee. Johnny Depp RPS, [livejournal.com profile] lotr_porn stand-alone. Here's what I told cee: the _porn 'verse doesn't do much for me, to be perfectly honest, but I read because her Johnny is so fucking note-perfect that I can't help but read it. And this, this is so ... it's long, and there's not a wasted word in it, and the ending is so sharp and sweet and heart-breaking that I had a good weep at my desk when I finished it.

+ Just Another Meeting, by [livejournal.com profile] spikewriter. West Wing/Buffy. Riley, Spike, Toby. Um. You should read this because Riley, Toby and Spike in the same room. And that's all I got on this one.

Fandom:
+ FilmForce asks: Will Lost have to leave Hawaii? I hope not.

+ [livejournal.com profile] anniesj made Arrested Development icons!

Random Crap Wot I Found On The Internet:
+ SpongeBob Goes To Church. "Absolutely, the UCC extends an unequivocal welcome to SpongeBob," the Rev. John H. Thomas, the UCC's general minister and president, said, only partly in jest. "Jesus didn't turn people away. Neither do we."

+ A transforming plush werewolf. By day (and crescent moon!) a lumberjack, by night a werewolf! I love it.

+ Will Sammy's Act Play in Tejada's Clubhouse? There is nothing in the world I'd like more than to see Sir Sid smack Sammy down hardcore. Oh, man, that would be fantastic.

+ If you live in Chicago, New York, Boston or DC, Loews is screening FREE MOVIES all year - they're releasing, one night only, classics, and they're showing them for free. In Chicago, it's the 600 N. Michigan theater; we should go see something, but not Titanic, because I still haven't seen it and I refuse to now, just on general principle.

+ The 50 Worst Blog URLs.

+ Understanding "American Pie": a really incredible site that deconstructs all the references in Don McLean's "American Pie"; as the anniversary of the Buddy Holly/Richie Valens/Big Bopper crash was yesterday, I thought I'd toss this in here.

+ Sushi pillow! I'd get Michael one of these, but I don't think he'd appreciate it as much as I would.
